Operation Recycle Cleats
Do you have gently used soccer cleats or shin guards just lying around the house collecting dust?
Why not put them to good use by recycling them!
Swap them for another pair or just turn them in for another soccer player to use.
Contact Shannon Beyrle (233-4413) or Paul Nathe (235-1432) for more information.

Game Cancellations Due to Weather or 'Suspected' Weather Problems

Decisions on cancelling games due to weather conditions come from different sources depending on where the games will be played.  The CVYSA does not decide unilaterally to cancel all games at all locations.

For games at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex (CVSC) in Waterloo, the CVSC fields director makes that call and the notification will be posted at www.cvysaonline.org as soon as it's decided.  Look for the Complex Status indicator near the top right of the main page. Be sure to check the Complex Status the day of your game (or the hour before your game) unless a special announcement is made in advance.  Just because the complex is closed one day, (i.e. Friday) does not mean it will be closed for the whole weekend.

To check current weather information from a weather station a block away from the CVSC, visit http://www.iowaponds.com/weather.htm

For games at the Waverly / Shell Rock Complex visit in Waverly, the Waverly complex manager makes that call and the notification will be posted at www.wsrsa.org as soos as it is decided.and locate the Complex Status Indicator there.

For games at all other community sites it is up to each community to make that call. The coaches should be in contact with each other.  The coaches will then communicate with the team parents.

If there is bad weather, we will update this to let people know if the games are ON or CANCELLED for the rest of the day.

Coaches: contact Randy Muller for game rescheduling questions/options.
